  • Do not eat or drink anything except water before your test.
An empty stomach is needed for some of your blood tests, including Ultrasound. (Fasting for at least 8–10 hours is needed.)

  • Wear loose-fitting clothes and avoid wearing jewelry while coming for your test.

  • Inform the medical professionals prior if you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy

  • For females, you should avoid full body checkups within a week before or after your menstrual period.

The kidney function test includes 2 types of tests: Albumin to Creatinine Ratio (ACR) and Glomerular Filtration Ratio (GFR). ACR is a urine test to check the level of albumin: a type of protein that is present in the urine. An increased level of albumin indicates early signs of kidney damage. GFR measures kidney function through a blood test and determines a specific stage of kidney disease if any.
